Here we introduce functions available in ConMas i-Reporter.

i-Reporter App

Entries, Photographs, and Reports All on a Single Tablet

Previously the operation required a bundle of documents, various materials, a camera for photographs, and transcription work afterwards to move everything onto Excel or the system. Now everything can be done with a single tablet.

i-Reporter app's allows you to open and edit documents, and images can be captured with the tablet 's camera. You can also browse materials, write on images, and write memos on documents.

When documents are saved on a server, the Excel documents can be outputted automatically. If the app is linked with external systems, transcription and aggregation work can be eliminated.

i-Reporter App(iOS)

Main Functions of the i-Reporter App
Function Description
Document Library Displays a list of forms and documents. Only documents for which the user has authority are displayed, and if the user has permission, user can save them to the tablet.
Creating, editing, and saving documents Users can create new documents from forms, and edited documents. Users can temporarily save partially edited documents to the tablet, save partially edited documents to the server, save as completely edited documents, and so forth.
Diverse input methods According to the settings in Designer, users can edit using various input methods. Date format, units, decimal place values, etc., can be unified, and input and refinement of selection items can be performed in a predetermined order, in order to prevent data entry errors or omissions.
Photo capture The tablet camera can be used to take a photograph of the site, which can then be attached to a document. The photograph can be made to fit into the input field, images can be cut out, and it is possible to write a memo on an image.
Mandatory input check When users have finished inputting saved, or at any desired timing, the app can check whether required items have been inputted.
Copy page It is possible to copy specified pages of a document and increase the number of input fields. Users can select the position for inserting the copied page and inputted values can be copied together.
Copy document Users can copy documents that have completed input and create documents that reuse the previous input result.
Free Draw Users can use a pen to write freely, paste diagrams and enclosed alphanumerics, and input text. Users can make entries into a free draw cluster or into the entire document. Content entered into the entire document can be managed on a separate layer from the document itself, enabling it to be hidden.
Input Using a Custom Master Users can use a Custom Master set up using Manager and Designer to input to a key cluster and thereby automatically input to corresponding clusters.
Library Documents managed with Manager can be browsed using a tablet. Only documents for which the user has authority are displayed, and if the user has permission, user can download them.
Schedule Tasks set up using Manager can be checked on the calendar.

ConMas Designer

Form design with non-programming

Forms (Template) are created with ConMas Designer. Designer can perform all operations with GUI, enabling a rich array of input controls to be set without programming, such as format change, required item input, and input order control. There is no need to learn to program or spend money on outsourcing to design documents.

Document data in i-Reporter is made up of a PDF for the document background, an XML setting file, and media files such as image files. All of them are stored on the ConMas Server.

ConMas Designer

Main Functions of ConMas Designer
Function Description
Import forms Import Excel file and add-in can be used to designate the Cluster (input field) cells. Settings can be made for each input type.
Settings for each input type Cluster can be set with more than 30 input methods, including keyboard, date, time, check box, selection, approval, bar code, QR code, GPS, images, and so forth.
Parameter setting For each input type, the conditions and display method can be set to suit the operation at site, such as format, threshold value, check box shape, input timing, and required items.
Set input order In Network Settings, users can indicate or enforce a designated order for input.
Carbon copy settings Performing Carbon Copy Setting enables the inputted content to be inputted at the coordinate of a copy destination cluster just like a carbon copy document.
Copy document The input values of a document that has completed input can be copied or moved to an original cluster or a separate cluster. This makes it easy to use a document that reuses previously inputted values.
Custom master Using a custom master set up in ConMas Manager, the user can simply select a line in a key cluster to input the corresponding value into multiple other clusters at once.
Breakdown of QR code The value read in with a QR code can be divided by commas, tabs, or number of digits specified in multiple corresponding Clusters to be inputted.
Other Form information settings such as the document name setting, setting for permission for saving data to a tablet and the storage period, and the setting for images to be handled with the document.
Users' accustomed reports can be directly changed into digital forms

Import Excel files

The background for a Form can be created by reading in an Excel, PDF, or image file, and then allocating a Cluster to it. Most of the users' accustomed reports can be directly converted into digital form without changing their appearance.

Using Excel add-in function, the Cluster allocation can be performed simply using Excel. Furthermore, an Excel file including the various information set in Designer can be outputted, enabling it to be reedited.

ConMas Manager

Managing System from Browser

Manager is a web application that is mainly used by managers and users with approval authority. Manager can be used to manage and edit document data, manage documents, register schedules, create and manage labels, perform mail notification settings, and to do bulk data input, etc.

In addition to management on a local network, Manager can also be made available on the Internet to enable centralized management from a remote location.

ConMas Manager

Main Functions of ConMas Manager
Function Description
User management Add and edit users. Deadlines can be registered for users, and authorization groups, etc., can be set.
Group management Authorities can be set up for a Group. To set authority for a user, first create a group with the required authority then assign the user to that group. Fine tuning settings can be performed, such as access to Manager, forms, input documents, and clusters, etc.
Device management To connect from the Designer and i-Reporter apps, users need to log in to their accounts and have approval for their device. Data transactions are now possible, with the ability to make approval requests from a device, and have the manager grant approval on Manager.
Manage forms Manage forms created and saved with Designer. Form information can be edited, including assigning labels, detailed settings for authority, and adding documents.
Manage documents Manage documents created and saved with the i-Reporter app. Users can approve requests and edit document information, and output documents that have completed input in CSV, Excel, or PDF format.
Custom Master Management Using a custom master, users can select key values and automatically set these for the corresponding clusters. (For example, select a post code and input the corresponding prefecture and municipality, or select a product ID and input the price and image, etc.)
Manager can import CSV files and register custom masters.
Document Library function Reference documents such as manuals and drawings that are used when inputting other documents can be registered. User can refer files such as PDFs, Excel, Powerpoint, images, and video, as well as URLs. Permissions for downloading to a device, storage periods, and other aspects can also be set.
Schedule Management function Documents to be worked on at a specified time can be registered as tasks.
Setting up email notifications Email notifications can be set up for events such as requests, approvals, completion of input, changes to values in a specified cluster, and so forth.
Bulk data output Document data can be outputted in bulk in CSV, PDF, or Excel format. Inputted images can also be outputted as files.

ConMas Server

Server functions

ConMas Server manages all data from the Manager, Designer, and i-Reporter apps, and the external system coordination API. The data stored in each application is always handled via ConMas Server.

Manager and the external system coordination API are web apps provided by ConMas Server.

System Requirements: Windows Server 2008 R2 Windows Server 2012 or 2012 R2 IIS7.5 +

Database

Data managed on the server is stored in a PostgreSQL database. (Certain media files, etc., are stored in designated directories)

The reference view has been published so that it is possible to connect directly to the database and retrieve data.

System Requirements: PostgreSQL 9 (x64)

External System Coordination API (Optional)

Link with external system

Even with the standard package it is possible to monitor the saving destination for automatic document output and retrieve data from the PostgreSQL reference view. (The monitoring program and database connection program need to be developed separately)

Using an external system coordination API allows not only referencing, but also external data retrieval, registration, and updating in real-time.

Automatic document creation

Users can retrieve information from the internal system and create documents with data already inserted.

Registration of document data

Data of documents that have been approved can be registered in the internal system.
